Do you believe the spirits or souls of animals linger with their owners after death? Do you even believe animals HAVE a soul or spirit? There are in fact, many ghostly tales involving the deceased animals of loving owners who do recieve visitations from their beloved pet.

I have never experienced this particular visitation...that is until yesterday.

I was picking mulberries from a tree near the end of our driveway and had the sudden, distinct awareness that my dog, Lady, was standing behind me. I even looked back to see if she was there, because the impression of her in my mind was so strong. Of course, this dog died fifteen years ago. Lady was a sweet and protective dog. She was a small, black and tan Shepherd mix with a very big bark. The interesting thing to me is that she never followed me around the yard in life because she was a runner...we didnt take the chance. I think that's why it was so startling to me to sense her prescence, that and the fact that I was not thinking of her in the slightest and then she was there, and gone.

It was an interesting experience to say the least.
